Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-04-12

1. Overview

I built pgtruth to work without accounts. This policy describes what information is processed when you browse, search, add a review, or flag content, and how I use infrastructure partners.

2. Information you provide

  • Reviews and structured answers — rent, room type, issues, free-text comments, and similar fields you submit. This is stored so others can see it on the map.
  • Location — coordinates and place labels you associate with a review, shown on the map.
  • Flags — when you flag a review, I record the reason and optional details to run moderation rules.

I do not require a name, phone number, or email to use core features.

3. Automatically collected data

  • Technical & security — hosting and APIs may log IP addresses, request metadata, and similar data needed to run the site, stop abuse, and debug errors.
  • Session cookie — a first-party cookie may be set to reduce duplicate flagging from the same browser. It is not used for advertising.
  • Bot checks — when enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile may process technical signals to distinguish humans from automated traffic. See Cloudflare’s privacy materials for how they handle verification data.

4. Where data is stored

Content is stored with my database provider in the regions they configure for the project. Map tiles and search may be provided by third-party services under their own terms.

5. How I use information

I use the data above to operate the service, display the map, enforce rate limits and security, improve reliability, and apply moderation (including automated rules after flags).

I do not sell your personal information. I do not use it for third-party advertising in the product as described here.

6. Retention

Reviews and related records may be kept while the service needs them unless you request deletion where I can honor it and unless I must retain data for legal or security reasons. Operational logs are typically rotated on a short cycle by infrastructure providers.

7. Your choices

Where the law in your jurisdiction grants rights (access, correction, deletion, objection, or portability), you may contact me at the email below. Because submissions are often anonymous, I may need reasonable information to locate records without compromising others’ privacy.

8. Children

The service is not directed at children under 13 (or the age required in your country). Do not submit personal data of children.

9. International users

If you use pgtruth from outside the country where servers are located, your information may be processed across borders subject to applicable law and provider safeguards.

10. Changes

I may update this policy. The date at the top reflects the latest revision.
